The Canadian Animal Assistance Team and Community Veterinary Outreach will be in Old Crow in June to run a community vet clinic in the commuity.
VGFN is looking for expressions of interest for a short-term Community Coordinator who will be available in Old Crow between June 11-15, 2025 to assist with clinic set up, clinic days, and clean up.
The Community Coordinator position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- organizing local volunteers;
- being a promotional volunteer in the period leading up to the clinic—ensuring everyone is aware we are coming;
- arranging meals for the team and for the community dinner;
- arranging transportation for the team from the airport and in the community when needed;
- supporting gathering of supplies before the clinic, including picking up shipments from airport and moving to storage;
- tracking appointments for the clinic;
- assisting with registration table and being a “runner” for tasks during the clinic;

Heritage Interpreter
The Heritage Interpreter provides visitor services at John Tizya Centre (JTC), organizing presentations, providing tours, creating exhibits and programs, researching and collecting exhibit materials and maintenance of exhibits. The position assists the supervisor in developing funding proposals, programming budgets and work plans. This position interacts with the general public constantly.
