Reporting to the Language Specialist, this position is responsible for learning language and managing language teachers and teaching adult language courses.

Reporting to the Community Services Manager, the position will transport citizens within the community and is responsible for the overall safety of passengers. The driver is also responsible for conducting safety and security checks at VGG buildings and other tasks as assigned. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

The Land Guardian strives to protect and sustain fish, wildlife, and habitats in the Vuntut Gwitchin Traditional Territory ultimately to support a vibrant traditional economy for VGFN citizens.

Reporting to the Community Services Manager, the position performs preventative and on-demand maintenance and minor repairs on the Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation (VGFN) vehicle asset pool (e.g., trucks, snowmachines, boats, quads) and maintains a relevant inventory of parts and materials.

Reporting to the Community Services Manager, the position will be responsible for assisting the Water Delivery Driver with a variety of manual labour-related tasks, including lifting and moving equipment and materials, and completing inspections and reports.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Education Director advances Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation’s (VGFN) jurisdiction over community education. This role manages and expands programs that support the academic and cultural growth of all people. The Director collaborates with the First Nations School Board (FNSB) and community committees to implement Section 17 agreements, aligning the education system with VGFN’s mission, values and goals.

Reporting to the Community Services Manager, this position plays a vital role in ensuring the safe transportation of students to and from Chief Zzeh Gittlit School. In addition, you will have the opportunity to drive community members to various special activities and events, contributing to the vibrancy and connectivity of our community.

VGFN is hiring 1 to 2 School Cooks, to work either part-time or full-time, as part of the school’s food services team. Reporting to the Executive Director and/or School Principal, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving food for our school breakfast and lunch programs, and at times for special events. This role requires adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations while providing well-balanced, nutritious meals that cater to dietary and allergy needs, as well as specific requests.
